A wide variety of fracture patterns

Jesse B Jupiter

Diego L Fernandes
David C Ring

This book provides a comprehensive approach to the indications, fracture patterns, surgical exposures, contemporary implants, and postoperative management of elbow and forearm fractures.

All content is based on case studies and each clinical case concludes with identification of the “pitfalls and pearls” in the management, thus reflecting the vast experience of the surgeon.

The editor and associate editors have accumulated a wide variety of fracture patterns, both simple and complex, provided to them from outstanding trauma surgeons worldwide.

Short extract from interview with Jesse B Jupiter

Jesse B Jupiter is the editor of the newly released „AO Manual of Fracture Management—Elbow and Forearm“.

Asked about the concept and target audience of his latest book, he stated:

“Elbow and forearm is a hot topic as surgeons are evolving their knowledge on how to treat injuries in these areas more effectively and decrease disabilities. This new Manual will help trauma surgeons, hand and upper limb surgeons, and those in training. In this book we discuss surgical care using actual cases, having said that the reader should be aware that we do not provide an entire text on each case. In my view, the most impressive cases in this book are the complex distal humerus cases and the ones involving the fracture dislocations of the elbow.”
